INVITE AI K12 Teacher Fellows Program

Are you a K12 educator who is interested in…

  • Learning more about AI?
  • Discovering standards-aligned resources for teaching AI concepts in your classroom?
  • Talking with experienced teachers about approaches to teach AI in K12?
  • Attending a national conference for K12 educators?

We welcome applications from K12 teachers in any subject area for the INVITE AI in K12 Teacher Fellowship Program. Organized by the INVITE AI Institute, this program is intended to support K12 teachers in their efforts to introduce equitable and inclusive AI learning experiences for K12 students.

Selected participants will receive complimentary registration and a $1500 travel stipend to attend workshops on teaching AI in K12 at the national Computer Science Teacher’s Association (CSTA) Annual Conference on July 16–19, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV.

The CSTA conference is a great opportunity to connect with other educators who are interested in learning more about teaching computing concepts, including AI. The conference welcomes educators from all subject areas and all grade levels, and features a number of affinity groups.

INVITE AI in K12 Teacher Fellows commit to 1) attending at least 3 sessions on AI in K12 at the CSTA conference, 2) attending a follow-up webinar in Fall 2024, 3) piloting an AI resource and/or learning activity in at least one class session in Fall 2024 using best practices for broadening participation in computing, and 4) submitting a written reflection on their experiences as part of the INVITE AI in K12 program.
